Once A Liar Always A Liar

Every time competitors lie about you they are also lying about themselves. As I like to say, “The truth will always come out”. Eventually people figure it out and the false statements made to win a short-term deal ruin the relationship for the long-run.

You CAN Turn Customers Into Partners

Unfortunately very few companies truly treat their customers as partners even if they say they want to. It’s quite sad to hear about other companies who have outright lied to our customers in order to win a deal that would never work or come to fruition. In the end our customers value our relationship because we do truly partner with them.

There’s More To Networking Than Just Meeting Someone

One way you can immediately stand out from everyone else is to actually follow-up with each person you connected with. At a minimum, send them a nice email. Better yet, call them. Even send them a hand-written note or possibly a small gift (if you can afford a simple gift that’s relevant to your new relationship). Your gesture of following up may be ignored by some but it will be handsomely rewarded by those who matter.

Has “Partnership” Become A Four Letter Word?

Six months into the relationship they called and asked if we could renegotiate the rates. They weren’t simply trying to raise rates. They needed to solve a real problem and were truly asking for our help. There were no demands, no threats and they were willing to accept no as an answer.
