I can’t imagine what we all would have lost if Steve simply kicked back and lived off his wealth. While sad that we’ve lost a great hero of our time, I’m equally happy and grateful that Steve Jobs shared his true wealth with everyone. He showed me the value of being a leader, a visionary and never giving up.

Look, you are going to spend 40+ hours per week working at your next job. Shouldn’t you choose a company before they choose you? How great would it be to find a company that you love, where you fit in well, where your style adds value to both you and the employer versus the other way around?

Think about it: do you want to work with someone who loves their job or is there just to collect a paycheck? Do you want to work with someone who is excited about their role or someone who resents it? The answer is obvious yet so few people infuse this energy into what they’re doing. Find a job, a company, a role or a team that you can bring enthusiasm to and you are destined to get the job. Of course, feigning enthusiasm may not work, so here are the steps to finding your passion and your next job.
Many of us can probably relate to this lack of pride or interest when necessary changes are made. The irony is that since he stopped caring (literally,he said he doesn’t put much effort into meetings any more) sales are the best they’ve ever been!
We do the things we like and don’t do the things we dislike. Even better, we excel at the things we are passionate about and fail at the things we despise. By making your fear a passion you will be giving yourself the motivation to become really good at it.
