The Day Will Come When Paper Goes Away!

Was Cash For Clunkers Efficient?

By most accounts, the Cash For Clunkers government program was a big success. The government funded the exchange of over 690,000 vehicles and the claimed impact is a 58% increase in fuel efficiency for those drivers. Plus the program claims it will create or save 42,000 jobs for the second half of the year as a result. Not bad for $2.88 billion dollars. But was it efficient?

The Truth About The Paperless Office

There is a way to go paperless with the last 20% of your process: assess your cost of paper. Paper is costing you printing, handling, shipping, errors, storage and the cost of labor. If you were to automate those pieces of paper then you’ll convert a fixed cost of doing business (i.e. paperwork) into a variable cost that can be mostly eliminated.
