Did you know that way back in the 70’s Xerox was developing electronic paper? The idea was to create a paper-like material to electronically display information. Sounds a lot like a Kindle, right? With the advance of iPads and other small devices, today’s technology is just a glimpse into what’s to come and how paper will be replaced.

DocuSign… How Do I Use Thee? Let Me Count The Ways

Imagine how many more ways you could make use of it! E-signing saves time because you can have all the parties sign within the same day or hour via email. E-signature is easier because there is no printing, faxing, mailing, scanning or filing of paper. And e-signed documents are better because all signatures are verified, tracked and monitored so you know who has and has not signed.

While the burger joint they refer to (In-N-Out) is a West Coast habit and clearly one of the best burgers you can get, I do see the waste that occurs from simply taking more napkins than you need.

The Truth About The Paperless Office

There is a way to go paperless with the last 20% of your process: assess your cost of paper. Paper is costing you printing, handling, shipping, errors, storage and the cost of labor. If you were to automate those pieces of paper then you’ll convert a fixed cost of doing business (i.e. paperwork) into a variable cost that can be mostly eliminated.
